In order to graduate with honors as a Mathematical Economics Major the student needs to obtain a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher in the courses that count toward the major. In addition, the student needs to receive a grade of A- or better in at least 3 graduate level courses that count toward the major. Approved courses may be chosen from the list of Mathematical Economics electives: Economics courses numbered 6000 and above, CIS, Mathematics and Statistics courses numbered 5000 and above, ESE 5060 (formerly 504), and ESE 6050 (formerly 605). Note that if a course is multilevel (i.e., has both an undergraduate and a graduate section), the student must be enrolled in the graduate section to count the course for honors.
