PIER Grants

PIER GRADUATE STUDENT CONFERENCE TRAVEL GRANT:

The Penn Institute for Economic Research has developed a program for graduate students to receive funding for presentation of their work at national and international conferences. For eligibility information, see Application for PIER Conference Grant.

In cases of acute need and after the results of the other applications are determined, a second round of application review is possible. It will be resolved on a case by case basis.

PIER RA STIPEND MATCHING GRANTS:

The PIER RA Stipend Matching Grant was created in 2015 to offer Economics Department faculty grants for 50 percent of a semester's RA stipend. The program works on a matching-funds basis. A faculty member provides funding for one-half of the semester stipend and PIER matches that contribution with the second half of the costs.  Applications are invited every summer by responding to this  Call for Applications before the indicated deadline.  Further details about this grant are provided in the 2015  Introductory Announcement.

Completed applications for both grants should be sent to the PIER Program Administrator at pier@econ.upenn.edu
