The Global Undergraduate Awards 2022 Programme, the world's leading academic awards programme, have been announced and the Department of Economics in the School of Arts and Sciences is proud to share that Ashmit Vyas, who graduated in May 2022 as an Economics major, has been named US & Canada's regional winner in the Economics category. Ashmit submitted his senior thesis, A Competition on Two Fronts: Unpacking Corporate Sociopolitical Activism through the Lens of a Two-dimentional Hotelling Model, (advised by Professors Jere Behrman and Kevin He) a few months ago. This year the the UA received 2,812 submissions across 73 countries and 25 categories.
