The Department of Economics is pleased to announce that, effective January 1, 2020, Dirk Krueger has assumed the role of Editor of the International Economic Review. He succeeds Harold L. Cole who has held the position since July 2011. The Department owes Hal a debt of gratitude for his outstanding service to the Department and the profession at large for leading the IER, and strengthening its position as one of the leading general interest journals of the economics profession.
