Mira Potter-Schwartz has been selected as one of the 4 Finalists for the 18th Annual International Atlantic Economic Society (IAES) Best Undergraduate Paper Competition and won!

The Department of Economics would like to congratulate Mira Potter-Schwartz on her achievement of being selected as one of the 4 finalists for the 18th annual International Atlantic Economic Society (IAES) Best Undergraduate Paper Competition, which is sponsored by EconSources.com! She presented her paper at 94th International Atlantic Economic Conference which was held in Washington, D.C., at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center Hotel on Saturday, October 8, 2022 and proceeded to win the competition. Her paper is titled Estimating Teacher Quality: Comparing Objective and Subjective Measuresadvised by Professors Jere Behrman and Petra ToddOne of the finalists (the winner) will receive a $1000 check and will have their paper published in an upcoming issue of the Atlantic Economic Journal. The 3 remaining finalists will each receive $100 and be invited to have an 800-word summary (anthology) of their paper published in the Atlantic Economic Journal. Additionally, the winner and each of the finalists will receive a handsome commemorative plaque to mark the occasion. The Department wishes her the best of luck in her competition.
