Making a Difference in Diverse Communities.

Economics professors Jere Behrman and Petra Todd were awarded a grant through the SAS initiative "Making a Difference in Diverse Communities." This initiative encourages faculty to explore innovative ways of addressing issues of diversity and inequality at the local, national and international level. The funded project aims to understand the effects of Mexico's Prospera Program on reducing inequalities in schooling and academic achievements in diverse communities. In addition, Prof. Behrman is serving as a co-principal investigator on a second project that studies cognitive declines in diverse Chilean communities.
