Professor George J. Mailath, Walter H. Annenberg Professor in the Social Sciences, was just elected to the Council of the Econometric Society, representing the North American region. The Council of the Society is the governing body of the Society, the leading international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics.
