Congratulations to Kaye Husbands Fealing (Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics, C' 1981), who is being honored by American Economic Association with the 2023 Carolyn Shaw Bell Award. Her research has encompassed the study of the science of science and innovation policy, the public value of research expenditures, and the underrepresentation of women and minorities in STEM fields and the STEM workforce. Her study on gender pay gaps in U.S. Federal science agencies exemplifies her dedication to addressing disparities in the workforce. Kaye is currently the Dean of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Professor of Public Policy.
