Dr. Andrej Svorenčík received a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Utrecht. His dissertation The Experimental Turn in Economics was awarded the Joseph Dorfman Best Dissertation Prize of the History of Economics Society. For the book The Making of Experimental Economics, he and Harro Maas received the Best Book Award from the European Society for the History of Economic Thought. He was a fellow at the Center for the History of Political Economy at Duke University and a visiting professor at the University of Paris I Sorbonne.
