Professor Sieg is an internationally renowned economists who obtained his Diploma in Economics from the University of Bonn in 1992 and received a Ph.D. from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1996. He joined the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. His research has been funded by numerous grants from the National Science Foundation as well as grants form the National Institutes of Health, the Institutes of Educational Sciences, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the McArthur Foundation. He has published extensively in leading journals on topics related to public, urban, and labor economics as well as the economics of education.
